About me

I'm Jo McIntyre, I'm 39 and I use a Canon 1DX mark ii, a Canon 5D mark ii, and Canon lenses, and I live near Lancaster.

In 2015 I was awarded the Masters accreditation from the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain, the MPAGB, making me the youngest in the UK ever to have been awarded this prestigious accreditation.(with 48 points so spare)

On a professional note I have also been highly commended in the 2014 BWPA, British Wildlife Photography awards, featured in the BPWA book several times, and been shortlisted in both Wildlife Photographer of the Year and also in Natures' Best. For Gold, Silver, Bronze and other awards in National and International photography competitions, see my awards page.

I am a chartered by the Institute of Logistics and Transport, hold and Masters degree in Logistics and SUpply Chain Management, and won UK logistics woman of the year award in 2011.

Since then i've turned to wildlife photography, and I am a self taught professional photographer, and I believe this enables me to give my photography tuition in a simple and easy to learn way.

All of my tours and tuition are within the UK, as i believe there is so much fantastic wildlife in the UK, why not explore it first.... and there are already some other fabulous companies offering worldwide tours.

In 2017 I really missed photographing wildlife around the World, and living a life of luxury! so now work full-time again, in sales for Barratt Homes.
